351 players announced as available for IPL

After a long wait, the Indian Premier League player roster has finally been announced, but the original list of 799 players has now been cut short to a meager 351. The players will now go under the hammer on 20th February for the 2017 edition of the IPL. The list includes 122 International players from different nations, including one from UAE and 5 from Afghanistan. The 10th edition of the IPL is expected to be bigger and better on all fronts. Even though the IPL belongs to India, it comes as a surprise that only Ishant Sharma has been put in the top bracket of base price 2 Crore along with stars like Mitchell Johnson and Ben Stokes. The second top bracket is of 1.5 Crore which again happens to be dominated by foreign players and includes Brad Haddin, Trent Boult, Jason Holder, etc. The bracket mostly contains bowlers. Pawan Negi- who happened to be one of the costliest purchases by Delhi Daredevils at 8.5 Crores, now happens to be in the base price of 50 Lakhs only. Since this is the last edition before franchises overhaul the existing players, no huge costs are expected in the auction.
